Class Description:
I am a Reading Interventionist in Caddo Parish. I work with teachers and students on a daily basis to provide assistance where necessary.
Position:
Literacy & Numeracy Teacher
Needs:
I am always in need of technology to assist me in supporting my teachers and students. I would love a digital video camera to video lessons & workshops. I also want to do podcasting in the classroom and for professional development for my teachers.
My Philosophy:
All students can learn no matter their age, ability, or disability. The difficulty is that they all learn differently. Therefore, we must strive to differentiate our instruction to meet the needs of all learners in our classrooms.

About Me:
I have been an educator for 10 years. I began my career in Special Education.
College and Degrees:
I have a Bachelor's degree from LSU-Shreveport. I am currently in school for my masters.
Activities:
I love to read! I am always asked by my fellow teachers about the books I'm currently reading. I love to read what the kids are reading, because I feel I can't recommend good books if I am not familiar with them.
Favorite Books:
Harry Potter, anything by Anne McCaffrey, the Twilight series, Wind in the Willows, Little Women, Nancy Drew, The Book Thief, Maniac Magee, and many others.
Interests:
Reading, crafts, technology, quilting, scrapbooking, and so much more!
Employment History:
1 year Bossier Parish School System 3 years in a private Christian school in Birmingham, AL 2 years in Webster Parish School System This is my 4rd year in Caddo Parish
