There are 11 girls and 9 boys in my kindergarten class. Our school is an inner city school. A large percentage of my students are from a low socio-economic background.

About Me:
I have been married (to the same man) for 32 years and we have 4 beautiful children (1 daughter and 3 sons). I am a bi-lateral breast cancer survivor. I am a Christian. Everything I have endured in my life brings me closer to God and it confirms his love for me.

I graduated from LSU-S with a degree in Elementary Education and Kindergarten.

This is my 22nd year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 4th (remediation/tutoring)grades.
Why Do I Teach?:
My passion is helping children become all they can be! I had many wonderful teachers and I want to give as much as I was given. My students become a part of my extended family and I never stop hoping and wishing the best for them once they are long gone from my class.
