Journalism 2 is the class that creates the school news paper, The Flash. It is an open forum of student expression and is entirely self-funded. All costs of printing and production are raised through ad sales, grant writing, and fundraising.

Teacher - Journalism Adviser
Needs:
Laptop computers, Adobe programs like InDesign and PhotoShop, reporter's notebooks, voice recorders, digital cameras, memory cards, toner for the printer, flip cameras for web reports, and funding for printing and webhosting
My Philosophy:
These are not just student journalists they are young journalists and they should be able to express their voice and exercise the rights granted to them by the First Amendment. I help them reflect on what they have produced and help them polish it and grow as professional journalists.

Why Do I Teach?:
I truly enjoy watching young people grow into productive young adults. I find it a great honor that I am able facilitate their progression and advancement. I am always so glad when they come back and tell about all the great things they are achieving.
