I teach 4 sections of Computer Applications. These classes are a mix of 9 and 10th graders.
I teach one section of Web Design. This class is mostly 11th and 12th graders.
I teach at an inner-city school where our biggest hurdle is getting the students to attend class daily. Most of the students who fail, do so because of poor attendance. My hope is that a more engaging and technology-enrichedenvironment will help to increase interest and class attendance. Innovative technologies will increase motivation and high level thinking skills.

Needs:
I am in need of a digital camera lab. We do not have any such devices in our entire school building. These digital cameras would allow me to introduce lessons that hold personal meaning for the students. Instead of using google and flickr to search for photos to incorporate into classroom projects - they would be able to take ownership of multimedia and their personal projects from every aspect.
Also, Monroe High School would like to begin a digital media club, but has no resources to do so. Digital cameras and video cameras would allow the schoool to engage those students who are interested in makin
