My class consists of 20 students. I teach low-poverty students. Ninety-eight percent of my students are African-American,one percent Caucasian, and one percent other. Ninety-seven percent of my class is free / reduce lunch.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
My class is in need of a digital camera. We spend a lot of time on the school grounds with Scientific and Mathematical projects. We need a technology tool that will enrich our learning. This tool (digital wish) will integrate technology into instruction. In return, it will make learning fun and interesting.
My Philosophy:
I believe that a safe, open, caring and supportive environment is an essential element in the education of children. I also believe that education and learning to explore the world of science extend far beyond the walls of the classroom and into the everyday lives of children at home. Without diversity in knowledge and teaching, stagnation can occur, producing individuals who are less productive and less successful in society.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach to impact children lives forever. I teach because I love to teach children the necessities of life: reading and writing. It brings me joy when children and parents come back and say, "Thank you!" I believe a teacher has the best job in the world because he/she is shaping the future of the world. There is no other job I would do without getting paid. This is some of the main reasons why I teach.
