Class Description:
I teach a 4th/5th-grade combination bilingual Spanish GATE class.
Position:
Lead teacher fourth grade
Needs:
It would be really great to have a set of at least 8 digital or video cameras for my class. I would like to do a project where students create digital family stories, and the cameras would really help with that project. Students would be able to take the cameras home to capture their family members and memories and then write about them or create a video to tell their family histories.
My Philosophy:
I believe that the more students can see the connection between their own lives and what they are learning in school, the more they are motivated to learn. I try to involve my students' interests and contributions as much as possible in the classroom.
