We just started all day kindergarten in our district in 2009. I am excited with all that I am able to teach my students now that they actually have time to learn and soak it all in. Our school is in the middle of a small farming community. Now that we have more time in our day, I would really like to incorporate more technology into my curriculum. I recently purchased a document camera and projector with my personal money and I can't believe how it has changed the way the students learn.

I believe that all children are important and capable of learning. Employment History:
I started out working as a young child on my parents' blueberry farm where they taught me the value of hard work and a good work ethic. I then worked at a day care center while I was studying in college to get some more experience with children. After graduation I finished up teaching a school year at our local Catholic elementary school. I was then hired part-time for one section of Young Fives. The following year a full time kindergarten position opened uup and I applied and I'm still here.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love it. I enjoy being around the children and helping them learn all that is required of them to learn.
