My room is a computer lab where I teach computer applications for sixth graders and serve as a technology resource for other teachers in the school. The computer lab is available throughout the day for workshops where students can come in and work on homework assignments or explore new technologies such as Google Earth and Scratch which is a program designed my MIT to teach children about computer programming

I began my second career as a teacher five years ago and absolutely love it! I am always investigating new technology ideas and try to motivate teachers in my school to incorporate these ideas into their lessons.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love working with young people and motivating them to enjoy learning. Technology is a great way to reach unmotivated learners! I enjoy the middle school age because there is a huge transformation between 6th and 8th grade and I really feel that what we do at middle school plays an intrical part in developing our student's future goals.
