My Philosophy:
Music education is intrinsic and connected to the human spirit and creative mind. Music instruction should be a requirement for every individual. Whether in instrumental, vocal, or general music classes, it is my belief that all students should have music education as a part of their background. Learning about music will help a person learn more about themselves. With music, students learn the rich and wordless dimensions of their own cultural heritage, as well as a deeper understanding of others. It also gives students opportunities to experience and express their feelings, as well as the power to control those feelings. I believe that with the current atmosphere in our schools and nation, it is not only our duty to teach the students subject material, but we will also help them learn to control their feelings and to learn more about themselves and others.

Currently, I teach orchestra and percussion at Center Grove Middle School North.

Why Do I Teach?:
My job is extremely rewarding. I love music and enjoy working with people (youths and adults). I get to share the subject of music with young people and conduct great music! The young people I encounter everyday and every year make my workday seem more significant than the workday that my friends in other professions have.
