Millers Creek Intermediate Sch
Hometown:
Jefferson City
Class Information:
Room Number: 208
Students per Class: 150
Class Description:
I serve K-5 grades in the area of reading. My students are considered at-risk, but do not qualify for Exceptional Child services. Most of my students are at least 2 years below grade level in reading. Our school is a Title I school with 61.4% of our students qualifying for free-and-reduced lunch.
Position:
Remediation Specialist
Needs:
I would like to have a mobile photo lab that could be used by our students to make connections to their world through reading, math, and science. I envision our students using the cameras to help create montages and PowerPoints of the vocabulary and topics they are studying. In addition, I would like to have 30 flash drives for our students to use in the computer labs. Many of our students are highly interested in PowerPoint, and these do not save to diskettes easily. The flash drives would allow them to save their PowerPoints and then view them elsewhere.
