I teach computer applications to sixth through eighth grade students. Word processing is the focus of sixth grade. In 7th and 8th, we work with Adobe Photoshop, power point, garage band, excel, Kuder Career web site, complete a research paper, and continue with word processing development.

About Me:
I have been teaching for 26 years. My career began at Mt. Gilead schools in 1981 teaching Chapter I reading. Then I had a second and third grade class. In 1986, I moved to the Pleasant School District where I taught DH to 5-12 graders for three years. Then I moved to 5th grade for a couple of years. I taught 6th grade language arts until 5 years ago when I moved into the computer lab. Now I teach 6-8th grade computer.
College and Degrees:
Kent State- BS in Ed- 1-8 Regular ED, k-12 special ed
Ohio State- 1990- masters in education, focus language arts and computers
Activities:

Employment History:
Most of my teaching career has been spent at Pleasant Middle School with a few years in the Mt. Gilead school system. In the summers, I have taught Kids College at OSUM and summer school at Marion City Schools.
Why Do I Teach?:
I love learning and want to help develop that love in the students I work with each day. I believe I learn as much from them as I am able to give them. It is fun, and I wouldn't want to do anything else full time.
