About Me:
I am a mother of two wonderful children. My children are 11 and 8. I have been married for 11 years. I absolutely love children and teaching has been a dream of mind since high school.
College and Degrees:
Bachelor degree from McNeese State University. Certifiedin Elementary Education grades 1-5
Activities:
I have volunteered for Prevent Child Abuse, Abraham's tent, Salvation Army, and the Animal Shelter. I love doing activities with my children, such as, baseball, soccer, and dance.
Favorite Books:
I love children's books. I have the opportunity to read all of the Caldecott winner books.
Interests:
Spending time with my family and friends. Volunteering in my community.
Employment History:
This is going to be my fourth year teaching. I previously taught 4th grade one year, 1st grade 2 years at OLS. I am now a 1st grade teacher at the new Lake Charles Charter Academy!
Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. I love children and I want to make a difference in each of my students.
