Class Information:
Class Description:
My class is problem-based learning oriented. I currently have 30 computers in my computer lab, however I am trying to teach students that computers and other technologies are a tool. I encourage students to think through difficult problems and collaborate with others, while putting myself in a facilitator role.
Position:
Technology Facilitator
Needs:
I currently need digital flip cameras and digital voice recorders so that I may expand not only the problem based learning projects that are conducted, but to assist students in reading with better fluency, inflection, and other characteristics of a good reader.
My Philosophy:
I believe that every child can learn, regardless of the obstacles that they face. I believe that students learn best by doing, and that as educators we must prepare them for the world by giving them real-world problems to think through.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love seeing the "light bulb" go on when students learn, and watching their joy and satisfaction when they finally accomplish a tough project that they have been working on.
