Mechanical Design & Engineering Technology is an interdisciplinary
approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with "hands on" real-world lessons. My students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work and the world around them.

Every student in my class has the right to learn. My goal is for my students to feel safe, free to express themselves in their classroom and enjoy their experiences as they develop their passion to become successful engineers. Each student contributes their opinions and efforts which are valued and appreciated by their classmates. The class learns the importance of being a learning team committed to excellence.

The Mechanical Design & Engineering Technology dept. provides opportunities in the classroom for students to succeed in the 21st century. Hands-on STEM activities and engineering challenges that engage my students in discovery and problem-solving strategies resulting in active learning. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, collectively known as STEM, are key 21st century skills.
