Position:
English teacher
Needs:
With the ever growing and changing field of technology that surrounds us, teachers could change their needs every day. I would like to be able to provide my students with the educational and technological experiences that will provide them with the skills needed to locate jobs in the 21st century. We all know that technology is a major component of the world they will enter post high school, so I would like to introduce them to as much as I possible can.
My Philosophy:
I love kids and teaching. Teaching in a technological world can be both exciting and frustrating at the same time. It is so innovating to introduce students to new technologies and equipment. Their faces light up when they realize they have been given special tools. Plus, the projects they produce are just out of this world. As a teacher, this really touches my heart.
However, when the budget just does not allow for additional technological equipment, it can be frustrating. It is almost as if students in this digital world have come to rely upon learning through the use of technology. And if this is the case, as it seems to be, then I think it is our job as teachers to find ways to make the technology a reality in our classroom. I want to post a thanks in advance to any group who supports our classroom. If we are awarded the items on our wish list, please do not feel as though you, a donator, will never hear from us again. I plan to share students progress with everyone involved; that is the beauty of this program. THANK YOU! Sincerely, Dennie N.
