I teach in a computer lab with about 100 students. We have twenty one computers and are working with the basics of how to use a computer and the vocabulary that goes along with technology.

Needs:
The classroom needs a smartboard which would greatly enhance the participation in the class. Also needed is a flip camara so the students will be able to work with filming and editing video. I would also like the students to work with new technology such as the IPad.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is that teachers should always try to find new things for their students to use. The more the students work with newer technology the better chance the will have experience with it when they are in higher grade and the world after school.

About Me:
I am 34 I am married for 8 wonderful years. I teach in small rural school district. Many of the people who live in the community have been there for a long time so it is a very tight community. I have taught in this school district for 12 years and it has been a very rewarding experience.
College and Degrees:
I have an undergraduate degree in Social Studies education from a small liberal arts college in Tennessee called Tennessee Wesleyan College. I recently received a masters in Curriculm and Instruction from the University of Houston.
Activities:
I am involved in the Hardin Lions Club which is a big part of the community that I teach in I am also the sponsor for a club that is a part of the Lions Club called the LEO Club which is like a Junior version of the Lions club.
Favorite Books:
Dan Brown is my favorite author. I like many of his books like Angels & Demons. Currently I am reading a book that he recently wrote.
