Pines Elementary School
Hometown:
Baltimore, MD
Class Information:
Room Number: A120
Students per Class: 20
Class Description:
3rd grade We live in rural NC, with extremely limited access to cultural and enrichment opportunities. Technology can keep our students engaged and able to compete and explore globally.
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
We have 2 desktops in our room and a communal printer for 12 classrooms. We could really use 2-4 more desktops or laptops. I would LOVE a Smart Board. I took an excellent technology workshop this summer and want to acquire a class set of iPods.
My Philosophy:
Every child can learn and succeed. There is more information than we can teach, so the challenge is to instill a love of learning and tools for pursuing it. It's time to embrace technology that appeals to students instead of resisting it in our antiquated classroom model.
