I teach AP Statistics and Regular Algebra II

Needs:
I have a electronic Promethian board hooked up to my computer and projector, but would like to add an Activote system. I would also love to have a new classroom set of TI84 calculators to replace the 10 year old, scratched and often non-functional, TI 83's I currently have.
My Philosophy:
I feeel that today's students need to be ready to live and work in the 21st century not the 20th. Therefore, the technology in the classroom needs to be as current as possible.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I have been teaching in the classroom for 11 years. Before entering the profession, I was a Bible translator living in West Africa with my husband and 4 children. I began my teaching career after our return to the United States and have worked in grades 6-12.
College and Degrees:
I attended Abilene Christian University for 2 years, then Universtiy ogf Houston Universtiy Park for 2 1/2 years and got my BBA in accounting.. I attended the University of North Dakota and the University of Texas at Alington for lgraduate linguistic training and University of Houston Clear Lake for my teacher certification. I also spent 1 year at L'Institue Biblique Bethel in order to learn French before moving to West Africa.
Activities:
I love to sing, alone or with my family. I read mystery novels and historical fiction. I like to work in the yard and ride bikes on he weekends.
