About Me:
I am proud to be in my third year as a School Literacy Coach at Rankin Elementary. I currently live in Tallmadge with my husband Kevin and my 6 year old son, Kameron and my 5 month old daughter, Natalie. I attended Kent State University for my Master's Degree as well as my Undergraduate Degree. I also graduated from Lake High School in Hartville, Ohio. Prior to taking the position of School Literacy Coach, I taught First Grade at Forest Hill for 12 years (in the North Cluster) and have also taught at Findley, Leggett, Harris, Seiberling, Barrett and a host of other schools as a substitute teacher before getting hired full time.
I have learned so much from many of the faculty members within the Akron Public Schools Family at many buildings. They've all been supportive and encouraged me to spread my wings and fly. They are all parts of the educator I have come to be and for them, I am grateful! Just as they are all people who've made a difference to me...my goal is to make a difference for our students!
