Epson PowerLite LCD Projector, $999.95, 0.00% raised
Epson PowerLite LCD Projector
Single Unit Why I need this:
My students love interactive lessons, and a projector allows me to create interactive questions for them to answer with an automated response system. I love it because it allows me to check their understanding as I teach each lesson and make adjustments on the fly!

My Philosophy:
Students of the technology age learn differently than students of the past. With this in mind, and the necessity for teachers to meet students where they are, technology is an excellent way to bridge the generation gap. I also find that using technology keeps my students engaged. Engaged students are successful students! My students can not afford graphing calculators because of their low socio-economic status and although I have a few for them to use in my classroom, they need them at home when they do their homework. I want them to be proficient with the technology so that when they go to college they have a better chance of being successful. They are already so far behind they do not need additional obstacles to overcome.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach at an inner city high school because I love working with this population of students. They have so many needs and although the work is challenging, it also has the greatest rewards. I am determined to especially have girls understand that they CAN do high level mathematics! I also want to show my students what technology can do for them!
