I have 22 first grade students ages 6 to 7 years old. All of my students are ESL and low income. They are working hard to develop their language and academic skills.

First Grade Teacher

Technology: tablets for students to use to enhance learning and engagement; books in Spanish and English for students to take home to share with their families; math games to practice and take home to play with their families.

About Me:
I have been teaching since 2000. I have my elementary degree, early childhood degree and art degree. I have also obtained my masters in curriculum and instruction and am currently seeking National Board Certification.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach in a high poverty district and I absolutely love working with the families and students that I teach. I enjoy working with struggling students and watching their growth as they learn new things.
