Class Description:
I teach in a low income rural school. My students have many learning challenges and few resources outside of school to support their learning. Many of them have had limited experiences beyond our small rural county but they are curious about the world community.
Position:
Second Grade Teacher
Needs:
We are lucky to have resources available to help my students develop valuable technology skills. It is often difficult to stay up to date but we continue to grow in our skills and our capabilities. I hope to continue this growth through my wish list.
My Philosophy:
As a teacher, my efforts are spent creating opportunities for my students to have new experiences and to explore new concepts. I try to expand their knowledge and their awareness of the world beyond our isolated area and to make sure that the spark of learning is lit within each child.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach to share my love of learning with children. We spend the school year exploring and learning with and from each other. That is a wonderful thing I can offer and I hope each student will maintain this curiosity throughout their lifetime.
