Class Description:
I have a group of 21 fourth and fifth grade students. This isn't actually a class - this is the school technology club. These kids had to complete and application to join and take their role very seriously! They are the campus helpers in technology and meet once a week after school to learn new and exciting applications, sites and technology news.
Position:
Campus Instructional Technologist
Needs:
We would like digital cameras, Flip style video cameras, USB drives, printers and anything else we can geek out with.
My Philosophy:
I believe it's more important to teach students HOW to learn and to instill in them a love for learning than it is to teach them rote facts. I believe it's okay to say "I don't know" and it's important to follow it up with "let's find out!" There is nothing more empowering to a student than when they get to be the expert and teach you something.

About Me:
This is my 12th year as a campus technologist, my 10th year as a mom and my 15th year as a wife.
College and Degrees:
I graduated in 1996 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Activities:
I love technology! I love taking photographs. I love playing Wii with my family.
Favorite Books:
It's hard for me to pick a favorite book. I like all kinds of genres and I read a good 10 books a month.
