Lightweight Headphones, $268.50, 0.00% raised
Lightweight Headphones Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
My school recently purchased Lenovo Mini-Computers to use in class. These computers are awesome and work well . . . as long as we don't need to use the sound. I like to have my students watch BrainPop videos, UnitedStreaming Videos and other content on their own. This allows them to rewind, rewatch and process at their own speed. Students can then take the quiz at the end of the "lesson" to see if they have processed the information correctly. I would love to have headphones that can be used with the mini-computers to allow students to be able to individually hear and process a variety of content.
Quantity: 30 Price: $8.95
These lightweight stereo headphones can be personalized with a student or teacher name, classroom number or school!

Class Information:
Room Number: 115

Class Description:
High-Need, Very Diverse student population. GMS (pre-recession) was 70% free or reduced lunch. I expect that the level will rise this year. We are approximately 40% Hispanic, 30% African American and 30% Caucasian.
Position:
SS Teacher
Needs:
My students need to become technologically literate in order to become productive members of a 21st Century workforce. Unfortunately the students are not receiving much technology at home. I would like the school to step in and help bridge this divide.
My Philosophy:
I believe that students need to be taught how to think and to process information. We are a society that exists in a digital age. Students are bombarded with information from all directions. Students need to be able to take in that information and process it for accuracy and legitimacy. In addition, students need to be able to present the information they have back to society. They will be able to do this by learning to use a variety of technology.
