Class Description:
I teach in a program that focuses on vocational, social and life skills. Many of the students I work with have very limited language abilities and social language deficits. Most of the work we do is very hands on to make learning accessible and fun.
Position:
SLP
Needs:
We need to be able to make our teaching materials visual for these students. The Flipshare cameras offer them a chance to practice what they are learning and see themselves on the big screen. There is nothing more motivating than seeing yourself in action.
My Philosophy:
Learning needs to be fun- pictures and videos are a necessity to make this possible.
