I am asking for an on-line membership to IXL.com. I love this website because it breaks down math skills into small parts and provides me immediate feedback on how my students are doing. I can generate multiple types of reports to check out how my students are doing. I also love this website because if a student gets a wrong answer it shows examples of how to do it correctly! My students LOVE this website because of the constant positive feedback they get as they master a new skill. As they get questions correct they earn badges until they master a skill and earn a medal. Students love collecting the badges and medals. They clearly see their successes in real time. The pride they feel when mastering a new skill is evident in the cheers and "bragging" you'll hear when my students are working in this program. This isn't all I do for math, in fact, it's just a small part--but they beg to get on and practice EVERY day. When I introduce a new topic, they want to know where it is in IXL.

Donations towards this project will improve my students' skill level in all areas of math.
Instead of boring worksheets where they can do a whole page WRONG, they get immediate feedback. While I work with a small group they can work on something they LOVE and that makes them better mathematicians. We have conversations about accuracy, but IXL shows them that accuracy does bring rewards in the shape of badges and medals.
