This fundraiser supports the addition of 24 desktop computers to room #6116 for use during Comprehensive Science 1 coursework.

The computers are needed to provide daily student access to online coursework, word processing, graphical organizers, and supplemental science resources. They will not be used for district or state testing purposes. They will not be moved to other classrooms for any reason except for repairs.

This addition of computers to this classroom will help close the digital divide, a gap that results from unequal access to information and communication technology.

The students' experiences with these computers will reduce the likelihood of experiencing long-term social and economic disparity resulting from failure to adequately build technology skills needed for successful career and college placement.
