STEP - Support Technology for Education Project
I am looking for support to provide technology so that I can engage my students, provide more individualized instruction, and prepare them for the technology demands in their future.
My wish (really, really, really want) list is:
30 iPad Mini's for individual student use - $8970
1 MimeoTeach Interactive Whiteboard system to turn any regular whiteboard into a SMART interactive board (this tool is also portable) - $799
1 Mimeo Capture Ink System to recognize student handwriting and turn it into print, and to save, edit, and print notes for students - $299
1 MimeoMobile Classroom license which will allow the following: - $199
Comes with iPad app that lets students collaborate by displaying their work at the front of the classroom, engaging the whole class in shared learning and discussion.
• Multiple device types can be used together, including iPads, iPad minis, the new MimioPad™ wireless pen tablets, and MimioVote™ assessment.
• The MimioMobile app for iPad links within seconds to the teacher's MimioStudio software. Just scan the QR code displayed on the whiteboard, and connect instantly.
• Every student with an iPad can interact with the lesson displayed on the interactive whiteboard – for no additional fee.
• Students can use iPads as assessment systems.
