I am interested in using Little Bits in both my science and STEM classrooms. Little Bits are open source, magnetic, color-coded blocks that can be used to make circuits. I could use these kits to teach energy transformation, engineering challenges, robotics, inputs and outputs, circuits, switches, as well as creative challenges. The kits would be used to teach grades 4-8 in STEM, and I would share them with my science department as well. With 30 of the base starter kits, 15 could be used in two different classes each day for partner work. My students love science, STEM, and hands on learning! They have experienced Little Bits on a field trip to our local maker space (IDIYA), and I have been trying to get my hands on them ever since! My students loved using these kits to invent monsters that would survive in a specific biome on the trip.
