Both my 7th and 8th graders need computers, there is absolutely no doubt. I would love for my 8th grade journalism class to have a set of Chromebooks in order to complete their school yearbook without the anxiety of not having Internet access. I have looped with these kids - from 7th to 8th - and they are eager to continue their 21st century skills in communication, collaboration, and critical thinking using Google Drive; a resource I make extensive use of with these kids. I absolutely cannot wait to do more technologically fueled projects with these kids - and more importantly, they cannot wait to jump in!
