Nice, but problematic. It's nice overal, but there's some sort of major issue with the singing section. I have fairly decent relative pitch, and have double checked with a piano, and it's not registering anything even close to what I'm actually singing. And the octave range expected of us is unnecessary to ear training. Please fix that.

Keyboard not showing on Nexus 7App works fine except in the Nexus 7 tablet, except you can't see the keyboard. It's just blank. Would give a better rating if an update fixes this problem.

Good AppGood app that works well on a Droid2. I use the tool to supplement my music lessons. As a beginning musician I would like to have the ability to customize the exercises by entering specific Chords and notes to those my instructor is wanting me to practice.

GreatEasy to use, works really well. The only thing that would make it awesome is a melodic dictation exercise.

Good, not great.Has lots of potential. Would pay more money for more features, such as actual lessons and more natural interface. Note: custom mode 'same root' doesn't work.

Most awesome ear trainer!I looove this app. It has ear-training for everything I can even think of and is very customizable to any varying experience of the user's ear training. Plus, it's laid out very beautifully and helpful. I love it. I'm addicted to it! Recommended to everyone who wants to improve their ear, beginner or professional :-D

Good but not great...yetThe product is ok, but it needs more exercises (above all concerning chord progressions) instead of things such as real piano sounds or cloud records..

Chord strum identificationI love this app but lack of chord strum identification

Still great, butIn addition to what I had previously written below, now the piano midi play when I have it set to play guitar. Not crazy about new layout. Could you add back the ability to scroll past the 12th fret on the guitar fretboard when doing the scale identification exercise. I find it extremely beneficial to follow the intervals on one string while listening. That helps me mentally visualize where the whole/half steps are in each scale.

Cnote79Itz a good app to have but would become a great app if it had the play along feature because sometimes im not near an organ nor piano.

Problems with the interval singing!!It registers every note I sing an octave lower so its wrong every time and it has the nerve to tell me I'm "not even close!!" Please at the minimum include an option to disregard octave!! Also please include diminished 7 chords, and have an option to identify chords by chosing the quality of the chord, not banging out the notes, its too easy this way! Awesome awesome app! I recommend it to all my students!!

The best ear trainer app on Market. Developer is very responsive
by Al

Great as far as it goesHopefully this is still being developed. How about a jazz edition? Would be good to include more scales as none of these currently are - 1) modes of the melodic minor 2) diminished scales (whole-half & half-whole) 3) altered scale 4) an option to switch between referring to the 'minor' as aeolian - seems weird that all the others are referred to by their standard modal names except this one and in jazz it's unhelpful to call it 'minor' as it's just one of several choices. 5) range of chords is limited to standard diatonic + augmented triad and sus2 sus4 chords - although the tests for these appear to be broken anyway with just 'check' appearing as an option. No minMaj7 dim7 or any upper extensions past diationic 7th chords. currently the chord sequences are limited to simple V-I type cadences - a user input function would be brilliant. This isn't to say that it's not very good for what it is but there's scope for a huge amount more and if you're just starting to learn about classical harmony then this is brilliant or would be if the chord recognition tests worked. It would have scored 4 if all the tests worked. Great value for money just room for much more - pro is misleading

Great app and great developer!Love Perfect Ear app and the Perfect Scales app. Use them frequently for reference, learning and skill improvement. Can't beat the full versions of both of these and recent updates have helped improve user experience greatly. Best to do the training with earphones IMO.

Im rating your program not my wishesUnlike Al here i understand that im here to review what you released, not my pipe dream idea of perfection. You deserve 5 stars for having as many options as you do for only 99c. Easily the best 99c ive spent on the android market

Only 5 stars...Since more is not an option. I'm learning intervals & chords faster than I thought possible. Thanks for continually improving all the features.

Certainly got my 99 cents worthGreat ear training app. A few bugs, and many quirks pertaining to the "spelling" of certain chords and scales. But still the most comprehensive app

Very good. The one thing I'd like to see is ability to edit and delete custom exercises.
by vpn
- 10/25/2011
still buggyWe might get a better app if people didn't post 5 star reviews without thorough testing. If I click "next" after an exercise, the next exercise fails to play. I get two play icons nd two refresh icons at the top of the screen. I also have two help buttons. Have to exit the app to restore things, but the same thing happens again. On a xoom.
