First, Identify each students most important area of improvement, academic, social or behavioral. Data and Annecdotal notes will be collected on each student and the specific behavior addressed.

After identification of area of focus, film students in those focused areas in a variety of settings. (For example, a student who has a hard time in special classes, introducing oneself to a peer, reading orally,)

After ample footage in several settings is obtained, the teacher will edit out errors, pauses, hesitations, and inappropriate behaviors and dictate a social story individualized to the student videoed. The teacher will also record the students identifying the corrections needed in their behaviors.

Prior to a student engaging in a situation that causes concerns, disruption, anxiety, or academic stress, the student will watch the video on the computer. Data and anecdotal notes will be taken on the students improvement. These videos can then be downloaded to an IPOD and taken throughout the building and community, and when stressful situations arise, they can replay the video of themselves getting through the problem.

This will be a helpful tool for students to take on to new schools, situations or home.
