Estimated Time: Part 1: two 50-minute class periods Part 2: three 50-minute class period Part 3: three 50-minute class periods, depending on the depth of presentations Size: 30 students 5 Groups Part 1: (5 Students per Group) Students will explore the school and find any new and interesting projects, activities, or upcoming events that is newsworthy to parents, teachers, and other students. We want to show everyone how Lexington School became U.S. News and World Report's Best High School. Each member in the group will have a certain job. Job 1: This student will take pictures of all activities that will be mentioned in the podcast. Job 2: This student will take notes about projects and give credit to the students and teachers creating these great activities. They will also organize the notes to be in order of what needs to come first in the podcast. Job 3: This student will record audio about the great activities going on at Lexington School. Job 4: This student will be responsible for creating a newsletter to accompany the podcast which includes all of the wonderful pictures we will take around campus.
Each group will turn in the podcast and newsletter activity. Students will be graded on a podcasting rubric and team member evaluation card. |
