Robert E. Clow Elementary School is located in Naperville, IL. More than one hundred webographers out of five hundred students at the Clow Elementary School use digital cameras and photo editing software to tell the story of what happens daily in their classrooms and in our school. Their photos are then posted on our dynamic website. All students who show an interest spend two hours of training time learning to use our ten digital cameras at the beginning of each school year. Each certified student is assigned a floppy disk to use with our Mavica cameras. Students learn what makes a good photo and what doesn’t and then practice taking good quality photographs. Students learn how to preview their photos on a computer and edit their work, deleting poor quality images and naming those that meet quality standards. Once the training is complete, students independently sign out cameras when they need one, pick up the floppy disk that is assigned to them, edit and name their photos, and turn the disk in for uploading. Once they know what to do, the program basically runs itself. Photos put on our website tell the story of Clow School.
