Three of our digital cameras are over five years old and need to be replaced. I have a staff of eight students who are the photographers, processor, layout and designers, and act as editors. The equipment we have is dated and at times very aggravating to use. Our student enrollment is down from 1200 to 790 in less than six years, so our budget this year has a 1.4million deficit and no money to replace any equipment for the yearbook. My budget does not even pay for the yearbook in full, so there is no money to replace computers, desks, cameras, software, etc. We are trying to do our best with what we have and keep improving our product, but it would be such a treat to have great equipment to help us in our endeavors. |
Cross-Curriculum Ideas |
Our computer teacher's class will help us do the DVD that goes along with our yearbook so we can cut $2700.00 from the final bill. |
