ALPHABET GROUP PROJECT
STATEMENT OF LEARNING: We’ve been learning about the way common lines and shapes affect photographs. Now, you get to harness lines and use your attentiveness and creativity to find the alphabet in everyday items!
YOUR MISSION: In groups of 2 – 3 people, you are to find a way to creatively express each letter of the alphabet. You will have 26 photos – one for each letter of the alphabet. You will display your final product using PowerPoint or Impress (your choice).
EXPECTED OUTCOMES: • PowerPoint or Impress slide show with all 26 letters of the alphabet depicted • Display proper work ethic and group participation • Organize and present your photos and project • Evaluate your photographs for composition, technique and possible improvements
GRADING: As a group, you will present your work to the class. Your grading criteria will be based on the following checklist:

_____The slide show contains 27 slides (26 that have at least one photo for each letter and 1 introductory slide) (27 points) _____All of your group members’ names are on your introductory slide (3 points) _____The slide show contains slide transitions (5 points) _____Graphics, color, art, fonts, etc are used to create an attractive product (10 points) _____All group members participate in the presentation and can describe the photograph and what worked and what did not (20 points) _____ Each photo is evaluated by the group for possible improvement – form provided (26 points) _____Wow Points! Earned through creativity, quality, innovation, attentiveness to others’ presentations, and the extra mile (up to 9 points) |
