Glogster Spelling and Reading Lessons

The pictures may be drawn using the glogster editing tools or imported from the web.
Assignment Students will study weekly spelling words by creating a poster on Glogster for each word. Once students complete the teacher will print the poster collection and staple the student’s word posters together leaving three blank sheets for practice. The student may take this spelling book home to practice and study.

Assignment Students must practice reading with a partner after the teacher reads the book aloud to the class. Pairs or small groups of students will take notes on Nate’s investigation. Students will create 5 glogster posters with the sequence of events from Nate’s investigation detailing the clues Nate uncovered. 3 Pictures and at least 2 complete sentences must be used on each poster.

Writing Plans Students in upper elementary grades are often encouraged to write daily in their journals. As a way to save time, teachers could incorporate glogster into their journal once or twice a week during their technology/computer block of time. Students can illustrate or write on their glogster poster for their daily writing activity.
