Each group of 3 or 4 students will create a puzzle on the computer. They must include the vocabulary words (spelled correctly) and a synonym of that word that they understand. They may also include illustrations to describe their words. The students will draw different shapes around the words, definition and illustrations, using an interactive chalk board. Then the teacher will print the puzzles on tag paper, laminate them, and return them to the students the next day. They will then cut apart the puzzle pieces, and trade puzzles with the other groups. Give them ziplock bags to put their puzzle piecesin. You can trade the puzzles with other groups on different days of the weeks, until all groups have played with each group's puzzle.
