Skittle it Up

I place the students in pairs and pass out a fun size bag of skittles to each pair. I have the students open their skittles and create a table in Excel that details the number of each color of skittles they have in their bag. We then graph this information in a pie graph. This teaches the students how to create tables using cells in Excel and how to utilize the graphing tool. It is a huge benefit for them because it helps them in their math and science classes as well.
