1. Discuss with the class about addiction.
2. Tell the differences between physical addiction and psychological addiction.
3. Discuss these qualities as they apply to different drugs. (OTC drugs as well as illicit drugs).
4. Focus on how moderation should be a focal point of taking drugs.
5. Have students use video camcorders to interview health care professionals, family members, and others that may be affected by drug usage.
6. Compile a documentary for educational purposes.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Students can also work along side science students to gather information on how drug usage affects the body.
Follow-Up
Have students view the final documentary and discuss the outcome.
