The Leader in Me Podcast

Our school is implementing The Leader in Me program as part of our curriculum. All students PreK- 5th will be delving in to the 7 principals/habits to develop essential life skills and become ready for life. Fourth and Fifth grade media club students will develop a blog and post reflections from each other and other students around the school on their thoughts during the process. Podcasts that feature interviews with spotlight students will be part of the blog.
The club will post at least one podcast a month. In it they will interview a student who has shown that he/she is successful in incorporating The Leader in Me teachings in their life. The podcast will be used as teachable moments for other teachers. It will also be used to show the community and parents our progress in the Leader in Me program.

1. Identify a student who is showing promise in the program. These may be picked from teacher nominations.
2. Media club students think up of questions they would like to ask.
3. Interviews will be conducted during a pull out session or afterschool.
4. The interviews are either recorded on flip cameras or using an audio recording device.
5. Media club members make a movie or audio sound clip of the interview back in the computer lab.
6. Podcast will be posted to the site for others to listen to.
