Materials: Flip Cameras, fitness equipment, laptop computers, video software, LCD projector
Purpose: checking for understanding of fitness concepts taught in the course in the semester.
Procedure: Students will work in groups of 3 to develop a fitness video for the remainder of the class to preform in class. Each group will present a totally body workout with a 4 minutes warm up,a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio and strength section and a 4 minutes cool down section. The workout must be accompany by appropriate music and modifications for students who cannot preform the exercises. The students presenting the video are responsible for correcting form, insuring all students are participating and presenting a comprehensive lesson.
Conclusion: Presenting students distribute an evaluation sheet for the class to fill out. Groups must email instructor their video presentation, responsibility sheet, and turn in evaluation sheets at the end of the lesson. Grades are based on a rubric handed out in class. |
