Students will be to have instant internet access to perform assignments such as:
Audio Books: Auditory learners will be able to listen to audio books and other recorded primary sources.
Reading Primary sources: students will be able to look at historical primary sources.
Maps: students will be able to view and analyze individual maps at their own pace.
The IPod touch will allow a student to be involved during lecture and participate with a hands on experience.

Sample Lesson Plan

Class Constitution
Objectives
(Students will have a copy of the constitution on their IPod Touch)
• Students will learn the purpose of the U.S. Constitution.
• Students will analyze the language and meaning of the Preamble.
• Students will work in cooperative groups to write a class constitution.
Materials

Procedure
1. Read aloud the Constitution application, U.S. Constitution: Background and Preamble.
2. Discuss the history of the U.S. Constitution by stressing that the Constitution gave a group of 13
states a way to work together.
3. Read aloud the Preamble to the Constitution. Discuss its meaning by analyzing the following phrases:
• Form a more perfect union
• Establish justice
• Insure domestic tranquility
• Provide for the common defense
• Promote the general welfare
• Secure the blessings of liberty

4. Point out that the class is a group of people who must work together, like our states.
5. Suggest that they need rules to follow, to be successful.
6. Direct students to work in cooperative groups, brainstorming ideas for their Class Constitution.
Comments
The total cost is high but the experience students would get is life changing. The modern world uses technology and our students need to receive training. This cost is lower than each student having a personal lap top. An IPod touch can perform all the tasks that a student needs a computer to do. The difference is the cost.
