Day 1:
Students will use the iPod Touch to locate and listen to podcast about Dante and the Middle Ages. Students will fill in Listening Guide for the podcast to ensure understanding and comprehension of main points.

Day 2-4:
Students will read Cantos 1, 3, 5, 33, and 34 from the Inferno. Students may choose to listen on iPod Touch and follow along in the book. Students will complete study questions based on each Canto.

Day 5-6:
Students will work individually or in pairs to complete webquest on fact about the Middle Ages and specific characters listed in Dante's <i>Inferno</i>

Day 7-10:
Working in teacher-assigned groups, students will:
*create a map of Hell. labeling each of the nine levels;
*select people from current history (any celebrity) and assign them to a level of Hell. Students must indicate specifically the crime/sin each celebrity has committed to enter that particular level;
*create a playlist of songs for Hell. There must be one song for each level;
*students will finalize project by creating a slide show (either using Animoto or Photo Story) to present the celebrities and song choices. Students must edit music clips to fit into slide show.

Day 11-13:
Students will present their slide show presentations to the class.
