1. The teacher will introduce the topic today to the class, telling them that they will practice and use their emotion vocabulary words in Spanish today by creating their own videos that demonstrate the vocabulary in action. The teacher will review previously studied emotion vocabulary. (10 minutes)
2. Students will watch a quick flip video demonstration using 4-5 of the emotion words acted out using only Spanish and actions. This will give the students an idea of what the teacher is looking for and how they can get started with their own videos. (5 minutes).
3. Students will be divided into groups of 4-5 and be given a set of 5 emotion vocabulary words along with instructions for their video and a grading rubric based upon creativity, originality, professionalism, use of Spanish, and overall team work. Students will plan out their video using all of their vocabulary words and prepare to record it. (10 minutes).
4. Each group will be given a flip camera and will be allowed to go and record their video (15-20 minutes).
5. Groups will return and turn in their cameras for viewing and assessment based upon the rubric. Videos will be presented in next class and students will vote on their favorite and see if they can determine the emotions expressed in each video.

Comments
If you already have the cameras is is basically a no cost lesson.
Follow-Up
A great way to do a final assessment of the understanding of emotional vocabulary in Spanish would be to let students use the flip camera also for some kind of cumulative assessment at the end of the unit.
