The Students Will form groups of 3 - 6 people. Each group will write a complete a movie script, including opening credits, a commercial, end credits and a movie score. All students will participate, including the Special Education students. The students will rehearse their script, collect props and create scenery, as needed. The students will film their movie using Flip cameras and will download the video to iMovie. The students will work as a group to edit their movie footage, create opening and closing credits, and write a movie score using Garageband. Each group will burn their video to a DVD usng iDVD. The students will present their movie to the class. Each student will fill out a reflection form, commenting on their experience using the cameras, the iMovie program, the Garageband program and their overall satisfaction with their group performance. |

This is a long term unit, requiring at least 9 weeks for completion, or more, depending on length of class period and numberof times per week students are in Media. |
