Each year, the 6th graders have the opportunity to experience Outdoor Education. My school goes to Covenant Heights in Estes Park, Colorado for three nights and four days. It is a beautiful experience physically and emotionally for all of the students who are fortunate to participate. With ten flip cameras, my students would have the oppportunity to document their daily experiences. The videos created would allow the students to utilize technology and create podcasts and videos for all to see. It is a great opportunity to show parents, educators and future 6th grade students what they did while they were away at Outdoor Education in Estes Park, Colorado.

Last year, I had two cameras and the students video taped some of their adventures. The entire 6th grade used the videos that were captured and created Outdoor Education commericals to not only advertise the trip, but also to encourage the 5th graders to participate in the fundraising available to ensure that they would go. (The problem with only two cameras was that only a few students had the opportunity to use the flip cameras and the videos used were minimal because the videos captured were minimal. With ten or twelve cameras, the amount of video footage would be more than ample for exceptional videos/commericals, and more students would have the opportunity to use the flip cameras.)
