We waste so much activity time during PE explaining rules and strategies, and how to play, new games during class. We want to film older students who already know how to play these games. We want to film them so that the younger students will be able to view the game being played properly, they can see the rules, and they can see strategy being used. The younger students will also feel a connection because they will see an older sibling, someone on their bus, or a neighbor in these videos of the games.
This will save 5-10 minutes of PE time. This time will allow the students to be active during this time, instead of sitting around wishing they were active. The teachers will film the game, then take the film, transfer it over form the flip camera to the computer, and put the film into Microsoft Movie Maker. By using Movie Maker, we will be able to edit the clips in a way that students can see good things, and bad things, being done. On the clips themselves, we can write key words and phrases, which will help the students further understand key points and vocabulary and help enhance the fitness opportunities for the students. |
