Feature the Teacher

Objective: The student will apply academic knowledge and skills in audio and video projects.

Engage: The student will be engaged by featuring a teacher or staff member at Celina High School. They will create a plan using a storyboard and script treatment and then film an extensive interview with the featured teacher using the Flip Camera. The group will then interview other students and teachers who know the featured teacher using the Flip Camera. Finally, the groups will get footage of the featured teacher teaching and interacting with students using the Flip Camera. The student will then upload all footage and edit the package using Final Cut Express. Finally, the student will burn the completed project to a DVD and give it to the featured teacher as a gift during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Evaluate: The student will be evaluated on filming skills using the Film Camera, editing skills using Final Cut Express, and completion of project by delivering DVD to teacher.
