Students will be divided into groups of three and must create a section of the newscast that will be aired to the high school and/or community. Students will brainstorm together to develop a list of stories that flow together and have some connection. Students must then develop a storyboard that outlines their story and the footage they will create.

After completing the storyboard, students gather their footage using the Flip Videos and then transfer this footage to Final Cut Pro to edit the footage and export it to a DVD so it can be aired to the entire school.

The following criteria is used to grade this project: Storyboard & Script, Content & Objective Criteria, Video/Camera Footage Quality, Audio Content & Quality, Lighting Quality, Editing & Transitions, and Graphics & Text Titles.
